All horses should be fed according to their physiological function and level of activity. Intake of high energy feed should be carefully monitored and adjusted according to activity and desired body condition.
ALWAYS FEED BY WEIGHT-NOT BY VOLUME!
Introduce MILESTONE LIFE gradually over a 2 to 3 week period by mixing with the old ration and gradually reducing the amount of the old ration.
Always feed with good quality roughage at 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. per 100 lbs. of body weight.
Fresh, clean water should be available at all times except to HOT, TIRED horses.
